Tyler Geiman is the Partner-in-charge of the Washington, D.C. area office. He lends the Firm an imaginative spirit to our labor organization and employee benefit plan clients. As a member of the Firm’s committee devoted to continuous improvement in audit approaches, Tyler is dedicated to providing quality services to our clients.
Early in his career, Tyler developed a facility for navigating the intricate worlds of federal reporting and labor compliance. He has been practicing public accounting since 1993 with a specialization in the management of complex financial audits of labor organizations, multiemployer benefit plans, operational and compliance examinations, forensic investigations, and agreed upon procedures related to health claims processing. He has managed audits for government entities, trade associations, law firms and financial organizations. He also has experience in internal controls evaluation, management consulting, fraud investigation and QuickBooks consulting. As a speaker, he has conducted financial officer training classes and has lectured to organizations on financial and fiduciary responsibilities.
Tyler graduated in 1993 from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College), majoring in Economics and Business Administration. He is a CPA licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. He has earned the accreditations of Certified Fraud Examiner (“CFE”) and Certified in Financial Forensics (“CFF”), designated by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the American Institute of CPAs, respectively. Tyler is also a member of the Maryland Association of CPAs, the Virginia Society of CPAs, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is an adjunct lecturer at McDaniel College.
